Good afternoon--
I have a single KLH Six in my mono system that I bought replacement Dayton caps for about a year ago, but due to my soldering skills being so weak and the fact that I am an electronics idiot in general, I have been putting it off. The original caps have gotten so bad that my records devolve into fuzz after just a few minutes of spinning on the turntable, and it's to the point where I can no longer tap on the back of the crossover plate to improve the sound quality. As a result my system has sat in silence since early summer.
I'm inspired today to the extent that I've brought the soldering stuff up from the garage and opened the Parts Express box with the caps/putty/heat shrink tubing, but I cannot locate the excellent, step-by-step online tutorial I thought I'd saved. I am finding a tutorial for the earlier Six model that's epoxied, but mine is the later style with the removable woofer.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to where I might find a clear, concise online tutorial to help me through the project?
Thank you!
