KLH speaker question

I have a KLH model twenty four system without its speakers. I want to be able to plug into my Yamaha receiver and utilize the Allison speakers that are connected to the Yamaha receiver. Is this possible given the fact that the model twenty four has its own built in amp?

Short answer...NO, UNLESS there is a tape out on the KLH

You cannot plug in an amped signal from the speaker wires into the tape or aux inputs without distorting, by using the speaker rca plugs. I can pretty much guarantee that if you try to input a signal from the KLH rca speaker wires into the phono input of the Yamaha, you can kiss the Yamaha phono section good-bye
