Those sure are Nice Looking, would love to hear but jeez, yeah that's certainly not a garage sale deal. :tears:

Did you see the pair that showed up on Seattle CL last week (briefly) for $400? <no affiliation> Or how about the Speakerlab 7's (with the 15" horn mids) on the list today for $300? <no affiliation> -- that one has me checking in my piggy bank and under the couch cushions for loose change, no luck so far. Someone here should grab those 7's. I'd sure love to run them alongside my Forte's and A/B them. :thmbsp: :music:

Yep, Seattle seems to have a LOT of good audio gear around, but mostly out of my price range. :sigh: I can't really complain tho, I do OK at thrifts, & occasionally CL has affordable deals. :smoke:

Hey Dick,
The last time I posted some Klipsch speakers I saw
on CL,Our Klownschool brought the Belle's home!
I was thinking of you when I saw the 7's & super 7's.
I just made the interconnect yesterday, for my Polk
SDA-1A's and Im very pleased,The last two months without it,Was like listening to half of what they can do.Big speaker sound with a fairly small footprint
for the small Cabin.Oh yeah,Like the new Avitar!
Mark.

Hi spaceman, yeah the thrift and garage sales are alot of fun and easy on the wallet. It seems like every household in the area has vintage gear sitting in their garage. I didn't run into much gear this weekend at the G sales (about 1 million G sales in my neighborhood yesterday) but did ok with alot of good condition < $1 LPs.

Don't forget the FREE stuff that shows up on CL too. :thmbsp:

In just the past couple of weeks I've seen a bunch of gear and vinyl on the FREE list: a Dual 1019 TT, 100+ good condition records, nice rare Infinitys and AR4's, another set of speakers (don't recall the make/model - Larry/Bloodrock picked it up). It's INSANE what people are putting out for FREE. Good stuff and the price is right - keep your eyes peeled. :thmbsp: :music:

Hey Mark, Yeah I think we need to hear Rick's Belles. I ran into him last week when we both showed up at the same Garage sale in Woodinville selling several hundred LPs. He got there before me but left plenty of interesting stuff. :uzi: This weekend we called each other as we headed out to sales to compare notes. :smoke:

I'd really like to get a pair of the original 7's - I'm sure they would be quite enjoyable. Hmm, what else can I sell? :scratch2:

Those Polks with interconnects must sound amazing in your space.

Larry/Bloodrock delivered a pair of AR4's to me this afternoon - he got them FREE on CL after I told him about them and another set of speakers. We A/B'd them against my small Advents. No surprise that the Advents win on the low end with a slightly bigger enclosure & one of the ARs needs to be cleaned - need to kick the highend switch to get the tweeter to play - but the AR4's look and sound sweet. :music: Happy hunting, and enjoy your Polks!

OK, that's it, someone loan me a pistola. Or maybe I should just use my hand in the pocket of a baggy sweatshirt, that seems to work sometimes.

Thats Great Dick,
Larry and the Speaker Posse' pulls off another one!
Ive never heard the AR4's.I sold my AR1's last fall,
the money was Too good and me Too weak to keep.
And free cant beat that.I love it when I see AK members post"someone left this receiver on my door
step".Im part of that club,Came home a couple of
weeks ago and there was a pair of British Celestion
D5 bookshelfs on my porch.Still dont know who left em.
