Klipsch crossovers

Here’s a look at my type AA Klipsch crossovers with the original capacitors and new Jantzen Superior-Z’s which is like night and day in the difference!

Maybe you didn’t look at the beginning of the thread, but this is for schematics.

Nice capacitors for sure though.

Thanks for sharing this! I’m still searching for a photo of the crossovers for the KG5.2’s. I’ve searched the entire Internet and eBay to no avail. I have a pair of them and I think someone tinkered with them or swapped out the original crossover all together if anybody has a photo please please please post it so I can see it. Thanks

I’m hoping someone can verify that these are the originals and that they are correct although one of them lost a resistor and it’s sitting in the bottom of the cabinet. Oddly enough, that’s the only Speaker that works out of the two.IMG_8420.jpeg

Here's the schematic. Can you read the values on the capacitors and resistors to see if they match the values below?

I have a LOT of these crossover schematics including many pro Klipsch. You can often find good pictures of crossovers on EBay and Reverb and by asking Google to find examples for sale elsewhere too though it might take a while for the ones you want to show up.

The correct schematic should tell you what you need to know.

Not sure how a picture will help. If the green capacitor is labeled 28uF, 28mfd or something like that it's probably a KG 5.2 crossover. No other KG crossover uses that value, as far as I can tell.
 
That resistor must have gotten awfully hot, enough to soften the solder so that the resistor could drop out. Hope those drivers are in good shape.
