Klipsch Forte ALK crossover upgrade installed

In my search for either some Cornwalls or Chorus models I ended up settling on a pair of Forte 1's. Turned out to be a good choice, I liked them alot but as with most big Klipsch speakers the horns were something I couldn't enjoy for any long amount of time. So I decided to try the crossover do it yourself kit offered by ALK engineering. After assembling them in a day I got them installed and ran them in most of the afternoon.

The difference is stunning, no more harsh in your face horns. The balance is really impressive at most any volume level, the horns are so clear and smooth in comparrison to when the original crossovers were in them. What a great sounding pair of Fortes they are now. :thmbsp:

It is nice to hear when another forum rmember has made an improvement when it comes to their listening experience. :thmbsp:

It was my first real complete crossover build, they turned out great. The change is well worth the effort, and it gives me the confidence to tackle bigger soldering jobs.
