Klipsch Forte I or Forte II

I am looking at purchasing some Klipsch Forte speakers. I have Heresy II's with new caps and Crites Titanium tweeters. They sound really nice! I have read how much better the Fortes are in comparison. What is your experience and recommendation with the Heresy to Forte comparison. Also, your inputs on the Forte I vs. II's. Last what other speakers would you choose in the same price range?

I`ve owned several pairs of Heresies and had a nice set of Forte IIs. To say the Heresy lacks the bass of the Forte would be an understatement; there is simply no comparison. The Fortes also sounded less bright (ie fatiguing) than the Heresy. I finally replaced the Fortes with Vandersteen 2CEs and wouldn`t go back. I do have some La Scalas which sound good, but they are huge. As far as Forte I vs II goes, you`re essentially getting a 15" passive sub vs a 12" with the II. Everyone hears things different, so check out the Fortes for yourself as they are a very good speaker, especially with upgraded components.
