Klipsch Forte II Midrange Does Not Work

Upgraded to Crites sonicaps except I did not replace the resisters. Then, the mid range did not work. Isolated the problem to be in the crossovers. Tweeters work, woofer works. Tested diaphragms in midrange and all - all works. Where should I look specifically in the crossover? Any particular caps that I need to look at? Do I need to replace the resisters? Thanks

One speaker or both? You did the change out of components yourself? Using the stock xover assembly on the back of the speaker terminal cup?

Did you do both speakers or just the first one?

It sounds like there was a problem created when you recapped. Pictures of the crossover with the bad mid would help. You may have a cold solder joint, a solder bridge, or you put the cap in the wrong place. First thing is to inspect the solder joints to esure that they look good - smooth and even colored. Then compare the two crossovers to ensure that the wiring is identical.

I don't know your soldering nor electrical skill level. Again, pictures would help.

Connect an amp and drive the speaker with 1 volt from the amp and using rms meter trace the signal through the crossover to the speaker. Or you could use an oscilloscope. I as a first guess I should be suspicious of a bad connection or a separated signal wire.
