Klipsch Heresy I Upgrade Recommendations?

My 83 H1s were pretty beat up when I got them 7 years ago. One woofer cone had a big tear in it. I refinished the raw birch cabinets, replaced the woofers and crossover caps with parts from one of the finest individuals I've ever had the pleasure to do business with. To this day they are my bedroom TV speakers and they are awesome. I also restored a set of 76 Cornwalls the same way. Then I built a set of the original "Cornscalas" using K400 horns salvaged from some flooded Klipschorns. I wouldn't waste my money on any other speaker.
 
I just refurbished a pair of '71 H700 Heresies. I'd pulled them out of the dumpster at a job about 16 years ago, I remember being pretty unimpressed with them as the primary speaker along with a pair of bookshelf speakers. I gave them to a friends about 10 years ago and eventually got them back. FFW to a couple weeks ago, I replaced the torn K-12-K woofers with same, cleaned up the cabinets and plugged them in. They seemed a bit shrill in the mids, almost sibilant, but also quite clear. As many will note, low end is lacking, which is the nature of the sealed cabinet design- these are high-sensitivity speakers after all; a subwoofer with the crossover set at 80hz really helps. Last night, I upgraded the 51 year old crossovers with recapped Type E and the difference is incredible: the mids are warm, the sibilance and harshness are gone and the really sing. Bass is still non-existent, but I have a plan for that and I'll post a dedicated thread for them soon.

Bingo!

I have heard Bose speakers that I thought sounded pretty good and some that sounded like crap. I have never heard a Klipsch that I could stand......my ears and horns do not get along........and Heresies add rolled off bass to the squonky horns.

I mean To me the reason why, some want the loudness of them but are willing to sacrifice some fidelity and no deep bass.

To me they would be great in a small club setting or outdoors or some bigger area needing sound, for pure music, they are just too colored and lack any deep bass.
