Klipsch Heresy II + Sub vs Quartet

So I recently acquired a pair of Heresy II (the older version) in really good and most likely original condition. Don't think anything has been recapped. After fiddling with my subwoofer I've totally fallen in love with these speakers. So when I saw a pair of Quartets in good shape pop up on C-list I figured I could use those instead and ditch the sub. Well I've listened to both and I have to say I prefer the Heresy's. The Quartets sound great and have amazing low end but they don't have this certain magic in the midrange the Heresy has. The Qs sound a little flatter, a little more neutral and like a really good full range speaker but compared to the Hers they lack character. I think I actually like the lack of bass in the Heresy as it leaves room for the midrange to really come forward. With a sub filling in the lows it's a really great listening experience for all genres. The Heresy's look better to being all low and angled up.

I am moving into a new space that might be more conducive for the quartets and I might end up upgrading the drivers and caps but for now I'm really loving the Heresy II

Anyone have a similar experience?

I'm not a Klipsch guy, but it seems unlikely you could improve on the Quartets by replacing drivers or caps (well maybe the latter if the old caps are leaking), unless you're a speaker engineer (as has been pointed out in many, many threads on AK, designing a speaker is much more than putting a bunch of drivers in a box and adding a generic crossover). Better to sell them and buy something else.
