Hello all, this is my first post. I've been a lurker for years and decided to make an account as I’ve been making some advances in my setup lately.
I scored a Sansui AU-7500 recently, which I love the sound of. I’ve been using it with some less than ideal Ohm Model E speakers, which just sound OK. However—I was able to grab a pair of Klipsch KG-4s in great condition, but with blown tweeters for $100 on craigslist. I have a pair of crimes diaphragms on the way and will have them up and running soon.
My question regards the combination of this amp and these speakers—I’ve read of folks blowing the tweeters by clipping lower wattage amps. Though the Sansui is 38WPC, it seems very loud to me and I have no need to turn it up past 10PM or 11PM, even with the inefficient OHM speakers.
I’ll post some pictures in the next few days when I get the Klipsch KG4s up and running.
