Klipsch KG4

I have a lead on pair of KG4 and a pair of KG2 for $200.

1. is this a reasonable price.
2. Is there nayhting else that these compare to.

Any ideas on how thye would sound on a HK 930 ?
Compared to a pair of advents how would they hold up?

I know these are all subjective but any guidance would be helpful.

For $200, run, don't walk, to grab those KG-4's. That's about $75 or more lower than what market rate has been on those speakers.

KG-4's and the 930 will be a dynamite combo.
 
Here's what I did in the last 4 weeks -

Moved Advents off of the tubes and into the HT. In went KG4's. I like the Advents more.

But then I put in a T-amp and ran it off of the tube's record outs. Now I like the KG4's more than the Advents....

I paid $250. I'm more than happy, even if just on the tubes. With different amplification, it'd depend on what it was, possibly.

This weekend I'll try them on 500 AB International watts and report back.

I saw those as well and really wanted to follow up but the budget dictates otherwise. Hope you like them.
 
Those are nice little compact speakers. I babysat a pair for a couple weeks last year, and I had a chance for an extended audition. I don't think you'll be displeased, and that's a very good price.
 
That is a good price. I am trying to convince a friend that he doesn't need his pair of KG4 and to sell them to me! I find they can be a bit bright at times, but love them nonetheless. Just hit the high filter and rock on. I was using a Dared VP-16 but now I am using a Marantz 8B with the pre-out of a Marantz 2235 to drive mine now. Goodl luck!

Ooooh, this is going to make some of you sick! I guess I was VERY lucky! I am presently using a pair of KLIPSCH Kg4's which I bought from a very nice woman who answered my ("Hobbiest seeks" ad) about three months ago. These BLACK Klipsch Kg4's are in MINT condition and were in storage since this womans divorce. LOL, I don't know if the woman was "getting even" with her EX or what but, lol, she sold me HIS beautiful Kg4's for $50.00 the pair which was all she wanted! WHOA! I am presently driving them with my ALLIED 333 Tube Receiver and the combo is lovely! I am however soon to be removing the 333 from the system and replace with a SCOTT 222D Integrated Amp. I plan to use both my JBL 4311B's and my Kg4's with the SCOTT. I suspect I will use the 333 in yet another system as I am attached to my $5.00 Yard Sale ALLIED. Oooh, I am sure that even at $250.00 a pair, the Kg4's are a good deal.

Yeah, I missed that too. Hell, go buy both pair, sell the KG-2's for $200, and you'll have a "free" pair of KG-4's.
