Those belong to a friend and are not as bad as the photos make them look. They were used in a bar for years so they ain't pretty but sound like La Scala's should sound and could be cleaned up. A previous owner started to stain the wood but never finished it so they need some work on the finish but Howards ain't gonna fix it.
They are working La Scala's for $800... what do you expect ?

I expect they might take a price reduction and a little while to sell. Its going to take someone that is looking for a project to buy these.
If i was in the market for la scalas though, these would definitely be closer to the price i would want to pay.

A pair of functional LaScalas for $800, I'd be in on it. Can't touch a pair around here for under $1K and a 4 hr drive. LaScalas never did have furniture grade cabinets to start with, so a little resto/mod could make them look decent.

I just traded one of my pairs for close to $3,000 (Canadian) worth of Audio Research and Mcintosh equipment. I would not have done the deal if I did not have another pair of La Scalas.

$800 working La Scalas would already be in my truck if they were within a days drive.
