Well, obviously I'm ignorant about the massive McLaren F1 market that exists.

I understand trying new things, even co-branded products, etc.. But Klipsch needs to be very protective of their image. If they wan't to be seen as a serious audio brand, they need to be careful about stuff like this.. Anyway, b/c I like the brand, I still hope it works for them even if I have serious doubts.

Awesome! This screams F1, not NASCAR. Klipsch is a sponsor of McLaren F1 racing and has their logo on every team members headset. Not for everybody, but I'll bet they sell.
 
I think it's good marketing. Obviously not aimed at proles like us :) but it''ll turn heads & give them publicity, probably sell some traditional speakers too.

Bruce Mclaren was a genius, a great driver & a cool dude, RIP
 
I can kind of see this program getting out of hand, but as @bolero pointed out, these are not marketed to the guys who hang out here. PWK may either be rolling over in his grave or thinking this was a great marketing idea.
Next up - Pedro Rodríguez in Porsche 917 Gulf racing colors, followed by Michael Schumacher in Ferrari Red.......................
