Klipsch or Acoustat? Alas, I can't have both.

I have a line on a set of Klipsch KG4s or Acoustat Spectra Series II.

$150 for the prior and $300 for the former, what would be the better value?

Assume they are both in 8/10 condition or so. I have a set of KG4 speakers and I would like to have a stacker, I am not so familiar with the Acoustat, but it seems like a good deal and maybe worth the try.

IDK, what do you audiogon'ers think?

Depends a lot on what kind of music you like, what kind of time you want to spend in setting them up, and what amp(s) you plan to use. The Acoustats are best with classical, jazz, and folk music; take a fair bit of time and experimentation to get set up; and need a pretty hefty amp. Properly set up and fed, these speakers throw and amazing soundstage.

On the other hand, the KG-4's like a wider variety of music, are easier to set up, and can be driven to ear-bleeding levels with just a couple of watts.

I am into all types of music, mostly rock, classical and random newer indie stuff. Equipment isn't an issue, as I would be willing to find amps to drive acoustats.

I guess the issue here is I don't know much really about how good they are supposed to be. Again, I am familiar with the KG4s and I do like them.
