Klipsch RP8000f ii low-end issues?

My Klipsch rp8000 loudspeakers developed a fault the low end was kinda bad on both after I swapped some vacuum tubes. Warranty sends me two boards and four woofers.
It has to be fixed, right? Surely this is some sort of ship of Theseus event lol.



I've tried three different amps, two solid state and one tube. New tubes, new stylus', new source etc.

How did swapping tubes affect the speaker so that it required new drivers and crossovers?

I have a pair of Klipsch RP280-F which are basically the same speaker. I also have tube amps and don't understand the correlation between tube rolling and getting replacement bass drivers and crossovers from Klipsch.
The OP should clarify regardless of which forum it's on.

Here is a maybe. It might be just a coincidence, but maybe Klipsch was aware there was an issue with this speaker and this was a good time to correct it as it would surely reveal itself later on with other tube amplifiers that don't control the woofers as well as SS amps do, thus creating distortions or some non linearities Klipsch could fix and make a good will thing out of a potentially bad situation.

We had a similar issues with Klipsch Hersey in unfinished berch that would fall apart because of defective adhesives. Another time we had Forte's where the backs would become compromised. All speaker manufacturers have issues as do electronics manufacturers. Mcintosh started their Amp pre-amp clinics because they got a shipment of bad parts for the power supplies for C-20's and the canned tubes they were using at the time for the MC 30 were not holding up well at all.

It seems like every manufacturer at one time or another was asking us to make updates to their products after they had been sold to the consumer. Altec, EV, JBL, Emilar and others had bad runs of Horn driver diaphragms. Some had for gotten to put the chemical in the gap to allow th driver to handle more power. Boston had issues with A series woofers as did early RTR and EPI speakers. We sent post cards to folks telling them to bring in their units for updates. It would be similar to auto recalls now days.

So did you get the parts installed and dit it fix ‘em? Just curious because I am running RP6000F IIs. I don’t run them hard or have a tube amp but I’m curious. Also curious what constitutes “kinda bad”.
