Klipsch Tangent T50 rebuild

The speakers came to me with the side off of one cabinet. I wonder about a spongy foam that is installed in the cabinet. It doesn't seem like a foam that a factory would use. Because the other cabinet has a loose side, I know it has the foam as well. Would Klipsch use foam in their cabinets? If so what is the effect on sound?

Surprised someone has not replied to you yet. I have heard that the Tangent speakers do have a problem with loose sides and there is a fix for that. I can also verify that some Klipsch KG 3.2 I had before ( I think) do have black foam inside. Post a pic over in Klipsch Korner here on site and I will bet you will get the info. you want.
