knight amp screws or fasteners

I have a Knight kn632 mono tube amp. I bought it a few years ago but never used it. I want to remove the tube cover to take a look, but it is fastened with these strange screws I've never seen before. Instead of a slot in the head of the screws, there is a sort of rectangular indentation, but not eactly a rectangle. Did Kinght make their on screws so you had to have a special tool for them?

I'm sure I could find a way to turn the screws, but I'd rather not mess them up by using the wrong tool.

Any ideas?

picture ? There are a lot of odd shape security bits. I bought a kit from Harbor Freight that has a bunch of different ones. Maybe not the finest tools ever created but one of those deals that I have kicking around just in case I come across some oddball.

Knight was a kit maker, I'm sure their kits didn't use goofy hardware. Unless maybe they also sold some factory-built? I recently learned that some factory-built Dynaco gear used security screws, not impossible Knight did the same thing.
 
I have seen those fastners before. In all the multi driver bit sets I have, none of them have a bit that fits those fastners. If someone can put a name to them, it should be easy to find a tool.

Very odd for a do it yourself kit.
Wonder if someone replaced them at some point?

Or as @gadget73 suggested, factory built?

Seems like they could be removed (and then replaced) with a snug-fitting straight blade screwdriver)

Thanks everyone for your help. Mystery solved, at least the part about the fasteners.
I'm not sure that all Knight amps were kits. Anyone know for sure?
 
I keep a 10 year old paper copy of the McMaster-Carr catalog for reference.

At the beginning of every section is a tutorial which is very informative.
I always chuckle because at the beginning of the plumbing section, they basically state that there is no standard for plumbing.
Ain't that the truth!

At the place that I worked, if we had an order in by 5:00 PM it would arrive the next day.

Same here, or in an extreme emergency its about a 2.5 hour round trip if we have to send someone to pick up an item that absolutely cannot wait until the next day. I think that has happened once that I can remember.
 
There is a McMaster Car Supply 40 minutes from me. The place is huge and was always busy when I went there.
