Bought my first pair new in the 90's for my father in law, so I would guess a few yrs earlier for their introduction. As you've found this is a great little speaker that punches WAY above its weight. The woofer surrounds only last about ten yrs, if yours are original driving them hard will most likely do them in. But not to worry, surround repair kits are about $30 and these are well worth the effort.
I was very lucky a couple of yrs ago in finding a NOS pair of oak veneer still in the unopened box for dirt cheap. Worried age might have done the woofer surrounds in but it appears they don't break down the same way if never used. Gifted them to one of my boys, still rocking strong.

RS-125's (the smallest in that series) were sold between 1993 through 1995.
I do not think that a higher quality of cabinet construction can be found in a mass produced, vinyl clad speaker than what you have in your RS-325.

I had a pair of the RS-125's. Those things could take a beating. I mean those tiny speaker didnt rattle or anything even with demanding bass tracks like some of Techmaster P.E.B. songs I would jam to.
