Koronette Stereo Info...

Hello,

We are currently selling a vintage Koronette Stereo with record player and wine bar. We've done a little research online but can't find anything solid as far as pricing. Does anyone know how we can find the value of this piece? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is the same as with most consoles. You can't ship them for a reasonable amount so you are probably looking for a local, or at least someone within driving distance, buyer.

That being said, most German consoles bring between between $75-$150 tops. They have finicky record changers that you usually can't find parts for, and the circuitry is not the easiest to work on. Some shops won't. The case seems to determine the value which depends on how many MCM collectors are in your area and how desirable the design is. Some, like a Grundig 8080, have a very modern design which ups the value with the MCM crowd. But most look like yours. Which I'm sorry, but to me is nice, but nothing special.

The Fishersonic Koronette was made in the mid to late 1960s ( mine is from 1967) in what was then East Germany. I paid $20 for mine...receiver works well, TT not.
