Koss / Realistic connection help

Not An Audiophool
Hi all:

I have an older pair of pioneer headphones that are starting to beg me for retirement. I am starting to look for replacements and know that some of Realistic's headphones were make by Koss. I'm guessing that they never put the Pro4's (of any vintage) under the Realistic name but I'm thinking that if I knew which Realistics were which Koss (or close) I might be able to pick up a replacement for reasonable money. (Money is very tight now so I defiantly have to shop hard for a used sleeper deal).

Is there any online reference that provides the Realistic name/part number to Koss models so I can get an idea of which ones are worth anything.

Thanks so much

Radio Shack also sold a Koss HV/X rebadge as their Pro-60. It first appeared in the 1984 catalog.

Thanks.

Now I know a few of the models to look for that might give me a deal on things.

P.S. All advice and information is deeply appreciated.

I don't know of an online database, But I have Optimus LV-20's . The 1/4 plug even says Koss. I think they're Koss TD-80's

A thousand thanks, KC! I've been trying to get replacement ear cups for my Optimus LV-20 set without success, until now! That link provided me with the corresponding Koss model number, allowing me to call Koss customer service and get a set of replacement pads sent to my home for the gigantic total cost of $5.00 (two day service!). They are not quite as good as the original set but are comfortable and do the job on a nice set I almost threw out. Yes, they ARE TD-80s. Koss actually made money on this because now I also bought a set of Koss Pro-4AAT titanium cans. Good company!:thmbsp:
