Have to send big thanks to AK member Leestereo. Early this year I contacted him and asked him whether he might want to undertake the restoration of a Sansui AU-919 which had come into my possession. The end result was a great amp fully restored, but more than that, as a newbie to having something like this done, I found the whole experience enjoyable and very educational.
Lee's work is first-rate and absolutely meticulous, as was obvious from the many updates (with detailed pics) he sent me throughout the process. I also had many questions as the work progressed, and Lee happily answered them all in great detail.
After a nice conversation we had by phone one day, and knowing that I was looking for a pair of speakers which might match this amp well, but also work within the space limitations of my apartment (and budget), he took the time to e-mail me and alert me to a pair of monitors he'd noticed, Epos Epic 2s, which were on sale at a great price from a dealer close to where I live. They turned out to be the perfect fit.
In the end, I couldn't be happier. A great experience, and a top-notch restoration job by Leestereo.
