Kudos To Monster Cable

I had some Monster cable - 12G I think - speaker cable that was turning green. Also had 2M RCA cables and one had come loose at one connector and noisy.

Well MC replaced both under their lifetime warranty as promised originally! I received 60 ft of shiny new speaker cable and brand new RCA.

I like a company that stands behind it's product :thmbsp:

I'm in discussion with them now from a warranty replacement. I'm hoping for a good outcome but...I'll post back.

Talked to them today to continue this warranty replacement process (about 10 months old because of a computer crash on my part) and things are going about the right way.

More to come when product arrives.

Although it took a long time to get it right, MC did replace my speaker wire correctly.

I sent them 50 feet of 12 Original MC. They returned a 20 foot roll of 16 gauge mini-cable. I had to pay to return this mis-sent reel but I received the replacement Original MC in a length close or a bit more than I sent in. OK I guess but I'm out that second shipping charge.

No more green speaker wire.

I don't much care for Monster Cable's over-aggressive defense of their brand. I mean who is going to confuse a putt-putt golf course called Monster Golf for a home entertainment accessory supplier but they sued to get the mom and pop golf course which had been in business for years and years to change their name. Too aggressive in my opinion but if a trademark or logo is not protected like that is becomes weak and others can use it. Monster Cable finally dropped litigation but it probably cost the putt-putt course quite a bit of money.

Standing behind their products is what all companies should do, and it's great they do. With that said, I hate MC with a passion for other reasons, therefore I will not own anything with their name on it.

Nice!
I'll call them as well. So do you have to send old ones?
Shipping is not very cheap but should be cheaper than new wires. :scratch2:

Uh. I emailed them about my green speaker cable. Haven't heard anything from them yet. Maybe I'm a little impatient. I mean, it's only been maybe a year since I sent the email......

You need to call them and talk to the warranty center. They replaced a $650 monster power center for me TWICE on different occasions. Say what you want about monster, but the warranty service is very good.

Why shouldn't they? They only made about 4000% profit over what it cost to manufacture selling it to you. They probably spend more on advertising than manufacturing.

As already said you need to call

I have always liked their warranty service but not them as a company.

Noel Lee's company is one of the biggest bullies around, IMO, not far behind Monsanto. Going after anyone for anything even when admittedly by himself that he doesn't own what he is suing for, in the case of Monster Mini Golf, is unethical and morally wrong. Personally I'm glad Monster finally got their but kicked with the whole Beats thing. It's about time. And I hope more companies start standing up to them.

I had originally called them, but went into the enternal music of death. Didn't want to waste my cell minutes hoping someone would pickup within a 1/2 hour. So, I submitted a request through their tech support. Maybe I will try calling again and see where it gets me. I have a low threshold for waiting on hold.
