Folks. In a bit of a quandry here. Some of you may have seen it, but there is a whole set of Kyocera gear on audiogon
http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?ampstran&1165680353
It's been sitting on for sale for 30+ days. Seller has the Kyocera B-910 power amp, C-910 preamp, and a DA-710CX cd player. He did have the tuner, but it was sold. He is also selling a Kyocera 861 receiver in a separate listing.
We've been in communication and he says the amp, pre, and cd player had been serviced and in tip-tip shape. He will deliver all three pieces to my house for $950.
I asked him about what exact service was done to the pieces to warrant the price, but he replies that he doesn't know exactly as he had a tech go through it thoroughly and what ever it needed to get done was done. He also said he probably threw away the receipts. Seems quite strange. My question is why would someone "probably" throw away service receipts if that is going to be a vital record of what was done to the units in case something else should happen in the future?
Anyway, I'm thinking $950 delivered to my door isn't so bad. What do you yall think? I've always wanted to try out some kyocera gear. This is the high-end stuff too and the amp and pre don't show up at all really on ebay. Thoughts?
