Kyocera PL-601 help

Hey all,

New to the forum. Thanks in advance.
I’ve been using and enjoying a Kyocera PL-601 I got from a friend since this summer. New belt, cartridge, etc.

It’s been great up until a few weeks ago where the motor began slowing down and eventually comes to a complete stop.

I’ve tried all the things: oil, cleaning, even took the motor apart and did the same…everything looks fine.

Despite all efforts, essentially running into the same issue. Will sometimes spin no problem for 10-20min, then eventually just comes to a complete stop.

Right now, it’s in a stage where I can feel the motor trying to work, but spinning just isn’t happening.

Thoughts? Guessing it needs a new motor? Worth trying to repair? I know Kyocera’s are relatively obscure, so I’m worried parts might be tricky (although I’ve often heard they share a lot of components with Harman Kardon’s).

Would love to get this table working again…but am also wondering if it’s worth it cost wise

I’m in the Seattle if anyone has a lead on where to take it.
