Here's a cool diesel Rat rod we saw last year. The sound when that baby fired up - wow!

I usually try to ride the bicycle up to check out the money pits on display. Some very nice cars and nice folks who are eager to discuss their pride and joy. There’s one of the nicest 55 Chevy’s I have ever laid eyes on there every year. Looks nearly bone stock but is modern under the skin.
 
Just a heads up, if you are interested. Fairfax City will hold their (2023) Annual Labor Day car show, Monday Sept 4 2023,
from 8AM-3PM. Free. It's generally a huge turnout of all kinds of cars, antique, classic, custom, and more. Hundreds of them. ;)

We went at 9AM - walked the place and talked to some very cool car owners.
But very quickly it felt like it was pushing the 90s, so we bought some hot dogs and chips
with a healthy tip for the Clifton Lions Club who put this event on every year and left at 10:45

Everyone loves the endless stream of 'HemiCudas, Vettes and Mustangs - even some neat custom bikes -
And the guy with the running flathead on a trailer - with the head off the other side, showing pistons and valves a-workin'!

But as usual, one of the Ratt Rods charmed the heck out of us! This crazy chopped Mack Truck! So low!

The Triumph Rocket 3 is a large displacement and heavy bike, I'm sure there was a kickstand.

it was a great one! 25th Anniversary - 375 cars!
Lots of Corvettes (maybe 30+?), Chevelles, & Mustangs - and some exotics like the Panoz ...even a few RatRods ...

I really don't know - the front "grillwork" doesn't look the same, and its not quite like the images on the MotorTrend site - but that rear-midEngine looks amazing ...
Emma took this side profile pix of it - quite the car! The guy in the blue shirt/black cap is the owner -
Emma asked him if he tracked it, and he said not in quite a while.
