Lami$il tablets...Remember "Digger"?

I've had a severe itch on my fingers since summer. Thinking I was plagued with a bad case of excema I visited a dermatologist a month ago because of swelling throughout my fingers & hand. The swelling was due to infection and the doc himself thought too, that perhaps I was suffering from excema which became infected....took some skin samples for testing then gave me a script for antibiotics and ointment then sent me on my way saying he'd notify me when the lab test came back. Well, it turns out I've got a fungus that originated from under my fingernails and spread into my skin.

Remember the TV commercials?...."Digger the Dermatiphyte" Thats what I've got! And so now the doc perscribed me Lamisil. He did give me a weeks supply so I have not been to the Pharmacy yet to have my script filled but at least I won't be shocked at the price. I did some internet searchs on Lamisil and have found out that this stuff is incredibly expensive! It works out to about 8-9 bucks PER PILL!!! My script calls for 30 tablets so I'm looking at about 240-270.00 bucks for a little bottle of pills. Fortunately my insurance will re-emburse most of the cost of my perscription meds (hopefully!)....but JEEEZ! I had no idea digger was such an expensive "BUG".

Heads up if you think you need Lamisil and pray your insurance covers it!

Appreciate the thought jasong but no thanks, I'll get re-embursed I'm sure. Anyway...can't use the cream, must be treated from inside-out.
