Lamp - LED replacement?

I've seen the bi-pin LED replacement lamps, but is there a solution for my MC2002 for the meter lamps?
They are type 161 size T3-1/4 wedge lamps.
Very easy to replace but they run very warm.

I've found this:

I just don't know if it would provide equivalent (or better) backlighting.

Anybody have any knowledge/experience with this replacement?
