Large Advents - different versions

[johnnm]

I've seen people talk about Original Large Advents and New Large Advents. Were there only two models of Large Advents made, or are they just the two most popular ones? Are there any "Small" Advents? Is either the New or Original Large Advent sonically superior to the other?

If you have a link with some history and or good pictures, I'd love to have it.
