I got my SA-5760 in 2009 and had it with an Akai tape deck and SL-1200. I started a DJ residency in 2014 and couldn't keep taking the 1200 away one night a week so I got a semiauto BD-22 that was actually a great TT. I found my 676 tape deck in early '19 and it has been great but FF very slowly and couldn't REW.
I kinda retired... err... hiatus from DJ in March 2020, and reinstated the 1200 for the hifi full time.
Last year, after years of patiently waiting, I found my dream TT - a semiauto SL-1700 in perfect shape.
This weekend, I coaxed my 676 to FF and REW nicely. So here I am about 15 years into the hobby and I have the setup I have always wanted. Absolute top of the line Technics everything for '76 or '77. Not sure where to go from here other than into the SU-series or an SE-A5 to replace the 5760? Could I ever do something like that? I'll have to see. But much thanks to AK for over the years being a great resource. Stay tuned!
