So, I’m technically in between main listening speakers right now, because I decided to take on a full ground-up restoration project on a pair of Cerwin Vega DX-9’s (all the way down to the bare cabinets due to rats destroying the crossovers and many other surprises that I came across after purchasing them “like new” from a seller that is over an hour drive away). I’ll make a separate post about the whole build process for you guys soon. I’ve documented just about everything along the way.
Right now I’m using my pair of Bose 10.2 Series II speakers for my mains, and dual amping a pair of 12” DB Drive DB Series DVC competition car audio woofers in a vented and ported box as well as an original 2004 Martin Logan Dynamo high throw high excursion powered subwoofer.
I recently decided to take my Series 1 Bose 901’s out of the man cave and use them as my mains in the living room while the DX-9’s are still under the knife, and shift the 10.2’s along with my recently recapped and updated Bose 301 Series V pair back into the office as a 4.0 set up.
As far as my signal chain goes, this isn’t my most recent configuration, but this was my most robust setup so I figured I’d post a few pics of the Slam Stack setup for you guys in case anyone had any questions about any of the gear in the rack.
Pretty old school analog set up. Not the best of the best, but close enough to make any “decent” pair of speakers start rattling the drywall at decent volume, especially with the amps I’ve been using.
You can see all of the details and granular specs and how i configured each individual unit on my personal website that I am due to update soon:

Looking forward to any and all comments, suggestions, and feedback on my setup!
