Leaky DeoxIT F100 Cans

I have TWO different 2oz cans of DeoxIT D100 that both leak down into the inner rim. It isn’t even from spraying- it leaks out just sitting on the shelf. I know this because I’ll soak it up with a qtip, and a month or so later, it will fill up (~1mm) again. The first can was bought new sometime around 2014 (can’t remember who I got it from). I thought maybe I got a bum can so I bought ANOTHER one (from PE in September 2019), and THAT one did the same thing!

I love DeoxIT products- I’ve been using them ever since D5 was red, and I’m not trying to throw them under the bus or anything. Normally I wouldn’t even complain about something like this, but this stuff is expensive and it shouldn’t happen in a properly designed can. I’ve never had another can of anything else do this (including 5oz cans of D5). It’s really aggravating to see this precious fluid wasted… just sopping up money with a qtip. It doesn’t take much D100 when used normally, so these are multiple applications being wasted. Anyone else have this problem?

They wrecked a good thing. The old style can you had a 3 way noozle you could adjust for the amount spray to use.
You are not the only one to say this.

I know the old 3 way nozzle was on cans of D5, but did they use those for F100? F100 seems to come out in single serving squirts because you need less. I think they went back to the old style cans for D5 after all the outrage about their "new & improved" version that squirted a gallon across the room. I know there's a ton of threads about that.

Either way, it stinks.

I seem to recall those flip up straw versions were notorious for leaking and people in the know then looked for the original 3 way dispensers.
Have they changed the design again and the 3 way nozzle is no longer the newest product?
Hope that makes sense.

The push button nozzles in the OP's post appear almost huge in size compared to the old nozzle.

Same experience with my can of F100, which has a different type of nozzle than the D5/F5 old or new nozzles.

I emailed them with a complaint 2019 about the new folding straw and what a mistake it is. They sent me a T shirt, a can of D5 and an explanation of why they have it and it’s still not any good as a dispenser..

I don’t remember the exact explanation but it was that the attached straw was better because it would always be on the top. The separate one would get misplaced.

I have 2 cans that quit spraying even though some liquid is still left in them. Going to poke a hole and dump the liquid into a container someday.

I've used all sorts of spray type products., mostly automotive, some electronic, some spray paint. When the can is empty/no longer working, if "good" I'll keep the straw and often the spray valve.
In with my misc. "stuff" there are several spare straws and nozzles.
