Led Zeppelin Remasters

I just pre-ordered the remastered Led zeppelin: Presence, In Through The Out Door and Coda. All three due out July 31 of this year.

Doesn't seem like Jimmy Page spent as much time remastering these three as he did with the earlier releases.

^You think they aren't as good as previous releases? How do you know if you haven't listened to them yet? I am kind of surprised that would be the case because Presence was arguably the band's favorite album (for several reasons). What is it about the new ones that don't seem to measure up? I was thinking of buying into the new remasters. Cheers. :)

Actually, Page did an interview on Sirius Deep Tracks and I believe that all of the albums were remastered by him at a previous time and are simply being released in a staggered fashion...I could be wrong...

So, perhaps if these are being released in a seemingly quick fashion after the last releases, it doesn't necessarily mean he rushed through them.

I bought the new master of III and wasn't impressed. I then found my original I got in the late 70's, cleaned it up and despite having click and pops the dynamics and depth were way better.

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say anything like that to me these three just seemed to be released quicker.

Thats because all the mastering was done prior to any being released. All the packaging and artwork layout designed and all facets are geared up.

Im gladed they haven't strech this out over a long time.

For me to see these latest three released together gives that impression. At least to me it did.

But after reading reponces that he had already done the remastering before, I can understand the speed in which these are being released.

And no I haven't listened to any of the earlier released versions. They are still sealed and put away as will these. All of my original copies have only been played a few times.
