Just learned that jazz saxaphonist and improv great Lee Konitz passed away yesterday at the age of 92, due to coronavirus-related pneumonia. He leaves behind an incredible catalog of music that spans nearly 70 years.

RIP, Mr. Konitz. Thanks for the music.

First heard him on Lennie Tristano records. Two unorthodox greats who didn't follow the herd and don't get enough credit.
 
Konitz Meets Mulligan might be a perfect jazz album.
