Looking for advice to chase down the fix to a Left VU meter that is pegged at power-on and doesn't move regardless of tape function.
Right VU works as it should - both channels balanced and clear on play. All other functions working great. I deox'd and worked all controls, pots, switches, etc...
Tried to work from the meter backwards to find issue - comparing right and left channels but quickly got lost due to unreadable schematics - strictly black and white - graining, and text won't enlarge with any clarity.
Glad to keep troubleshooting on my own if someone can point to a readable schematic. Also would be thankful for any quick advice.
