Legacy products on McIntosh website

Kudos to McIntosh and Ken Zelin in this undertaking. While there are already a number of third party sites for vintage McIntosh equipment, for the manufacturer itself to officially honor its legacy products will contribute real value to the company's image and in the eyes of McIntosh owners- past, present and future.

Nice user manual files with each device. I do wish they would also post the service manuals by serial number. Really nice to see the legacy page. Great pics and layout.

I was looking at the C-26 and noticed the images seem to have the new glass and bezel and the pictures of the board had Nichicon Fine golds. Also new feet. I wonder if that is just the example they had to photograph or if they intentionally added the subliminal commercial for their replacement parts that they still offer??

A bit disappointed with the "modernized" image of the MAC1500's rear apron plus the 7591 tubes would have been clearly visible in this view but they're not shown. Also a new MAC1500 would never have left the factory with the feet shown.

Send them a better picture, they might use it.

Maybe they could have worked and waited another 6 months to roll out the site with better images, I’m hoping it can evolve if there are some improvements necessary. Love the effort though.

Cool!
First time I've seen an official Mac photo of my version of the C20 Pre-amp that shows the McIntosh name on the glass front without the old-English font—just like mine! Even my owner's manual shows it with the later stylized font. After owning it for over 50-years, I had just about given up verifying that it was just as it was supposed to be.

Yep. They still need to add a 'speakers' and 'equalizer' section. Seems like they will since they are adding the ML-1C MKII to their new lineup.

Great that they’re doing this, but I’m sure they can share more info.
Let’s take the MC225, on the description it doesn’t even says the tube types.

Yeah, it almost looks like a bad photoshop. Did the MAC1500 ever come with real feet?

Just the cone shaped pegs that were used for years. These were removed of course when installed in the optional cabinet. Photoshop is exactly what it is using the chassis of a modern unit and typeface font. For the O/Ts to be missing is a glaring omission.

There’s a few errors here and there too, like this picture of the MAC1900

Still appreciate the effort though, nice to have this repository from the company

Is there an email address where you can sent corrections instead of posting it? Seems like it would be beneficial to us all.

Thanks for sharing, great information source for vintage Mc’s.

Certainly useful for the manuals, and reference photos. But, as it’s been said, probably a lot of work to be done.
