Lenco l450 speed pot does nothing.

I have been working on a l450 all day now and had to basically rebuild it fromt he ground up. I almost have it working now but the big speed pot does not work. I have already tried replacing it but no dice. Any clue why this could be? 1 thing to note is that one of the pads of the smaller 2 speed pots is gone. It didn;t look like it went anywhere and the pot still works so I left it as is, could that be the reason? I could not find where it is supposed to go on a donor board either.
