Lenco L75 turntable for $300?

Spotted a Lenco L75 turntable in the wild for $300. From a little research I did, it appears to be a first generation version, made in Switzerland (not Italy) and with the original Lenco tonearm & a Shure cartridge. In very nice condition, including some paperwork, but with a badly cracked dustcover. $300 seems to me to be on the high side, but not by much. Thoughts?

It'll sound great, but that price is a bit high. Very worthwhile turntable.

Given the amount of modding that can be done to them (and the prices some command once the modding is done), I wouldn't hesitate at overspending by a few bucks for one that looks really good, assuming I was ready to start the modding process.

Suggest you make sure that it is wired for the US.

It's a decent TT,but $300 is on the steep side.

If it's a 120v 60hz Lenco L75 then it's worth $300. The motor alone is $150 if you can find one. Just make sure it is a USA model.

Agreed. 120 volt 60 HZ = NO BRAINER. What do YOU think can beat it for $300?

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping to hear--that it's a no-brainer price!

I'm presently using a Dual 1219 as my main table (backed up by a Dual 1019, backed up by an ELAC Miracord 10H) but I'm wondering if, in stock form, the Lenco is a step up from the turntables I already have.

I would say a few steps ahead in stock form. Giant leaps and bounds modified.
