Lettering on faceplate

I have a Harman Kardon A402 that is really clean, but someone wiped most of the lettering off of the faceplate, which apparently is something that is easy to do on these particular units. I have been searching in vain for a replacement with the lettering fully intact, but these units are frustratingly rare. Does anyone know of a service where I can mail the faceplate to them so they can add new lettering to it with the same font and font size and all that jazz?

Engraving by an awards trophy shop

Are two ways I have read about. I’m thinking about the latter for a crown SL-1 preamp. Of course, the engraving might need to be paint filled to be easily seen, but it would be nice once done.

I think one of the difficult parts is to get the font exact and placement laid out.

I bought some foilcals for my JBL L-150a speakers from Edley Oldnews. They were top notch. They even laser etched the serial numbers for me. The only deviation from original was the lack of slightly rounded corners. That being said, I believe that either he or one of his friends makes replacement faceplates. It might be worth checking out. It was a bit of a wait but well worth it in the end. Edley OldNews
