LF 12" Woofers: Sonics W-1224 OR Seas 30WK Alnico x 2

Hi
Anyone know anything about these drivers? I think the Sonics W-1224 is from an AS-330 speaker & I'm told the Seas 30WK are from some B&W and Revox studio monitors.

Sonics = 50W 8 Ohms
Seas = 30W 4 Ohms each

I'm trying to find specifications for them e.g. res freq, q-factor etc, anyone know where I can find a datasheet?

I'm looking to build one (or 2) subwoofers to go with my Tannoy 10" Monitor Gold (they need reinforcement) & I have a 45W Quad 303 spare to power it/them.
The quad has a load range between 4 & 16 Ohms, apparently best at 16.

I can get 2 of the 4 Ohm Seas drivers; If I use these I was was thinking about making 2 speakers (mono - crossover freq probably 120Hz max), and wiring the drivers in series (total Z = 8R), with the amp channels in parallel; will that "ideal" impedance drop? and impedance range drop from 4-16R down to 2-8R?
That way the combined drivers are now at the Quad's "preferred" operating load.
Or should I just use each driver/amp channel separately, in stereo at 4 Ohms?

Any advice/recommendations? Sonics will be bit cheaper overall, but shipping is high (costs more than the speaker). Seas are more expensive but much less is wasted on shipping, and I get 2!

Many thanks

Will
