Thought I'd open a thread for comments, only because I have too much gear and need to downsize. We'll open with one of my favorites - nothing fancy but it sounds great and has been a daily driver for a while. Disregard the hockey pucks on the shelf :)

NEC-A10
JBL Studio 530s
SMSL DAC
RPI streamer

What more does one need?

Beautiful setup. Back in college I sold NEC gear and loved the feel and built quality. I own a SMSL DAC and it does a wonderful job at a very reasonable price.

I haven't gone down the streaming river yet. Not sure if I really need to at this point. I have so many other forms of media that I need to listen to 1st.

Thanks guys. System #2 in the basement I will share. The Nak stack. Nak CA-5 pre amp. PA-7 amp. Rotel RCD-1055 CD player. Had a Nak CD player once but never could get it working, oh well. The Rotel kinda matches.

Best part of system if you like vinyl is the Technics SL-1500 restored table, best turntable ever IMO. Original M95 cart with newer OEM stylus. For vinyl this system is the place to go.

Speaks are JBL L-100s somewhat of a limiting factor but still fun. I'll move on to more systems after this if interest, I have a few more.

Very nice. I am glad you enjoy it.

You have some very nice equipment!! Keep the pics coming.

I have always been one to try and keep a system to a single manufacture if possible. Never known an amp and preamp from the same line to not have synergy. I have had Kenwood, Sony, Onkyo, Realistic, Pioneer, Yamaha and Bryston systems and they all looked wonderful together.

Those JBL speakers are a part of audio history. Keep them in shape and in rotation if you like them. If not, you have something special someone would appreciate and pay well for.

Thanks for the comments. We'll keep posting.

Here's system #3 (still in the basement).

The Pioneer Elite System. Used to love Pioneer Elite, and still like it a lot. Maybe not as much in the past. This system as pictured can produce some seriously nice sound, and probably deserves a better picture and space. Gear chosen for aesthetic match.

Pioneer
C-91 preamp
F-93 tuner
DV-91 Laserdisc/CD player
M-91 amp

Squeezebox touch
Teac turntable
Quad 22L speakers (recently picked up at auction, and continue to be impressed)

Thanks all.

We will change it up a bit and move to system #4 upstairs. This is my DIY system. PiCore streamer with 7 inch screen. Loxjie DAC + Bluetooth. Amp is a TPA 3255 eval board cased up nicely and and with Alps pot. Not shown are the speakers (Forte 1s with crites mods) and miscellaneous components for tinkering. Sounds great.

Was trying out the JLH 1969 repro again in the system earlier too. Nice sounding but not as nice as the TPA. Not sure what to post next. Family room or the garage.

Guess I'll move on to the family room next. System #5. This system I've shamelessly plugged since I put it together in '09 with the Econowave thing. It gained acceptance as furniture in our house later... and continues to sound fantastic JBL LE-14As Ewave'd in a restored Bozak console, DE-250s for the top end..

Gear is all Teac modern now which I like for for the build quality and look... amplification is a Teac AP-505 (Hypex) and preamp/DAC a modified Teac AI-501 integrated with pre-outs added. Did I really need to add another amp? Heck no... I have more amps that Carter has pills, but it's all fun.

System #6 and #7 in the garage might be interesting too... thanks for looking.

System #6 in the garage. I have a bit of interesting gear from collecting over the years in the garage - but this one is probably numbero uno garage system. You don't see these speakers often, kind of big for a normal setup inside. I've been tempted to move them on a few times, but somehow they never leave.

Luxman R-117 (as a pre ol)
Luxman M-117 power amp
Cerwin Vega 2000-15 speakers

Wow those are interesting. Back in the late 70’s had their 211R speakers. Would put them in the back seat of the car and then take them to the beach to listen while swimming. Back then they had a 18” 4 way I wanted to buy but ended up with some other great speakers not as big. Just out of H.S and the parents thought they were way to big and the JBL L 200’s were smaller.
