Lightning in a bottle...TWO Marantz Model 19s

Went over to a friend's place to look at his EV Aristocrats he is selling, and ended up coming home with a second Marantz 19 with a few minor issues. We don't have any room for more speakers unless I want to expose a considerable amount of backside for discipline at this point.

Scope works well, very good faceplate, and it has that sweet Marantz sound and feel that few receivers could match back in the early '70s. Right now it is shaming a very nicely turned Sansui G9000DB.

Congratulations to your new Model 19!
I have had my first for three years and sometimes I think could need another... I think it is the timeless beauty of this receiver that lures. In the opposite corner under a TV set, like an A/V center, I have a Sansui AU-999... a dark horse but also a looker!

I now guess you now have three Model 19 but lack the cabinets? I will send you the drawings when my cabinet arrives in a couple of weeks. :)

Like I mentioned in an earlier post there are four holes in the bottom cover 2" in from the sides. They are wider than the top cover holes, but what dimension is still an issue for me. Can you find out and post an answer, please?

Steve, just two. I jumped the gun on your previous thread, but held off for a couple days to see how well it worked. It works well:D

Premeditated then! :)

I checked the bottom holes with a M4 screw. Does not fit but 2 turns, too little to keep the receiver securely in the cabinet. Also one missing "what do you call the piece in the bottom cover which the screw goes into"-thing...

What is the closest threading for M4 in US?

I would bet that the machine screw goes through the foot, through the case, and into the female screw threads a uniform depth for all the Marantz gear. On my 2245, the screw goes in four threads.

Pull the screw from one of your feet, add an inch, and you can wack off any excess with your dremel.
