I saw her in the early 80's before she went Big Band sound.

Great voice. She could sing opera back then.

I saw her at the Garden State Arts Center one summer night years ago. The sides of the Center are open. I think she was singing "Faithless Love" when a thunderstorm swept buy a little ways away. Streaks of lightning were coming down in the distance as her clear as a bell vocals swept over the audience. I think I remember her laughing at the end of the song and commenting how nature supplied her with own light show. A very special moment.
