Linn Basik LVX on Revolver TT

I just bought a vintage Revolver TT from the early '80's. It's in good shape except the belt is slightly loose and the stylus on the Linn Basik cartridge is totally worn off (see photos).

2 questions:
-Considering the mid-range quality of the LVX arm what cartridge would you recommend (say in the $150 range)?
-How would I find a replacement belt?

And that Linn K9 (aka Kay Nine, nee Dog) appears to take a AT 95e stylus. So there is your easy upgrade.

Provided the bearings in the LVX are in good shape, the arm will accept a better cart than you give it credit for. Agreed it is a "mid-priced" arm, but probably the best of the mid-priced arms of its day. Acos Denki made some pretty nice arms.

marcmorin - as far as I can tell, the bearings feel good. If I were to replace the cartridge rather than go the stylus upgrade route suggested by Kent, what cart would you recommend in my $150 price range?

I have no recommendation for you in a cart in that price range. I would go with what Kent suggested, but with the best stylus you can find for that K-9.
I wasn't real impressed with that cart in its stock (stylus/cantilever) form.

Carts I have used on that particular arm with decent results are the AT12Sa,
AT 440MLa, Shure M75 T2, Shure V15-V, Grado Signature 8MZ, Grado Signature MCZ. No dogs in that bunch.
