Linn Sondek lp12 tonearm cable

Hello People, hope everyone is in good health during these times, I am currently running a Linn Sondek with a linn Basik lvx arm, I am pleased with the general performance but the weak points happen to be the baseboard and more importantly the tonearm cable which appears to be a factory standard one from 1984, so its a bit worse for wear, I know there are cables out there that cost the earth and will increase quality beyond measure, the problem i have is an extremely tight budget, so if i can improve on what i have for little then my mission will be complete. My Main question is has anyone got any experience with the TVA REBEL Tonearm cable and alike for around £50 or does anyone else have any other suggestions? my expertise are within the speaker and amplifier world, so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you ring up Peter Swain @ https://www.cymbiosis.com/. He is one of the most respected Linn dealers and a great set-up man for the LP 12. Changing cables implies re-tuning the suspension and dressing the cable correctly (not a 5 minute job).

FYI: I have an original (1984) LVX arm (and cables) on my table with an MC cart.
In late April I bought a new Rega Planar 3 and Ania MC cart to replace what I have.
Sold the Rega(s) 5 weeks later
What did I learn? New isn't always better.

Yeah, that's what everybody says..... don't believe it.

I have no choice due to the cable actually degrading and crumbling, for me at this moment in time its out of the wildcat by audioquest and the TVA Rebel due to budget constraints

Well that's a different story. Your LP12 and my TT2 need periodic tuning, as in adjusting springs, bearing oil, cleaning belt traces, plinth to platter clearance, and leveling.
Learn to do this yourself.
While I was breaking in the Regas I did all the above to the TT2 (last time I did it was 5 years ago); obviously I should have done this first before rushing out and buying a new table..... that lesson cost me $500.
If your armboard is not warped your OK.
A properly tuned up table will sound way better then the most expensive cable you can buy.
