Listening Project A-Z (Chronological also), anyone else?

Really curious if I am alone in my OCD madness or is there anyone else who is this crazy??

Background of Listening Project A-Z

Okay so I got a new cartridge installed in my RP1, and during this time I also got the need to catalog my records better. I already have a list in discogs, so I decided to take it up a notch and start adding custom fields such as: vinyl notes, LP Condition, Jacket Condition, Sleeve Condition, Last Spin Date, Condition (New/user), Date of Cleaning (RCM Machine). So after adding all of these fields, I was wondering the best way to make sure I get all my records recorded with these new fields.

Project A-Z Begins...

So on February 2nd, 2014 I decided I was going to go ahead and start this project. So starting at A (Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic) I would do just a record a night after the wife and kids are in bed. So, one record turned to two, three, to however many I could do before passing out. It also didn't hurt that my wife was in the middle of a major project and not even coming home until 10pm or later so I was burning through a ton of records. During each record I would enter in all my crazy fields and as soon as I started this project I decided to take pictures of the jacket, and anything that came with the record. Really just giving me something else to record (yes, I have a problem).

Fast Forward to Now...

So I have been pretty much been listening to at least a record a night unless I was out of town, and tonight I am almost done. I also was listening to everything in chronological order to keep everything "aligned" if you will. I am 2 records away from finishing..listening to Neil Young - After The Goldrush now, and then its Neil Young - Harvest. As a "reward" for finishing this project I have had Beck's Morning Phase since it came out refusing to listen to it until I finished this project...so here in a little bit I finally get to open that LP.

I am very fortunate to do this with a relatively small collection at this time. Now the key is to stay on top of it with every new record making sure I listen to it before putting in the collection.

Okay so anyone else think I am full on crazy or is it just me?
