I went to a thrift store today and found these little Quadraflex speakers with walnut veneer and a single 6 inch full range speaker in each one. They were pretty heavy for the size and appear to be acoustic suspension.

Not bad for 6 bucks each! They sound pretty nice and have surprising bass for little speakers like that. It says on the back to not to attempt to open them up so I am sure they are acoustic suspension. They can handle up to 25 watts it says on the back.

So I hooked them up to my bedroom system and ran some wife downstairs. They look nice down there but I think I might bring them up here to use in the bathroom or my daughters room.

They are great for low volume and especially for classical music. I think I could really get to like these things. I would love to replace the speaker for a high end B&W in wall type speaker with a crossover built in!

Hey that is an idea!
