Found my next vintage piece today, $14.95 plus tax, this is a nice sounding little example of fisher before they sucked. So far, I have cleaned the heads, chassis and not much else. It was very dirty, and took some scrubbing, but I guess I'm back into the cassette game... never thought I would, but hey, I even have an EQ again for the first time in 12 years. Anyway, thought I would share my thrift score. It aint a NAK but what the hell huh?

That is the deck I had in 1982!!!
It was my first stereo...Fisher Studio Standard Rack System...I bought it from Macy's in Brooklyn, New York. Came with a turntable, EQ, receiver, cassette, rack, and a pair of floor standers. LOVED that system...so did my crackhead cousin...came home one afternoon, found my front door kicked in and everything of any value was gone.

Yea, so far, i love the deck, and I have seen the matching receiver with meters on ebay some time ago. Cool stuff! thx
 
VERY NICE looking cassette deck! Super lookin meters!! Wish I had it!

I still have all my cassettes in racks and no main system cassette deck to use em.
