Infected by Vintage Audio Bug
I've been collecting or accumulating audio bits for about 15 years now. Started by going to the Salvation Army auctions in Atlanta where I would find old console stereos, tube receivers and lots of speakers that simply needed new surrounds.

Like another new member, a new project found me. I had listed a bunch of audio odds n ends on Craigslist recently. No bites on what I had to sell but I was contacted by someone who was looking for repair work to be done on some tube gear he had. Long story short I ended up buying the gear based on a few texted photos.

I now am the owner of a pair of Ampex 6446 Cinemascope amplifiers and a very early Pioneer Integrated amplifier. All three amps were modified by a previous owner. I am thinking that these are going to be keepers and will need some help with speaker recommendations and researching the Pioneer amp.

The Ampex amps are doing well right now but will need new caps in the future. The Pioneer has one channel out.

As soon as I can, I will upload some pictures and find the appropriate forums to post my questions in.

Thanks!
