I've been reading here for several years, finally got around to signing up.
I've been around hi-fi and audio my whole life, mostly as a consumer but I also spent
some time doing repairs years ago but with minimal proper training.
(A family member and several family friends were computer and electronics engineers who let me tinker and do some repairs years ago, mostly through the late 70's).
I've been rebuilding old speakers since I was a kid, free speakers with rotted foam were pretty common and having a relative with parts in stock only boosted that hobby along back then.
(Its likely why I've got a spare room filled with vintage speakers these days).
