"Lawrence Of Arabia" (3 hrs. 42 minutes)

"Dances With Wolves" (3 hrs. 56 minutes)

Both worth it. I tried to watch Dr. Zhivago but gave up after 30 minutes. If you ever get a chance to see "Lawrence" in Cinemascope, DO NOT miss the chance!

Did watch Gone With The Wind 238 minutes per IMDB. Lord of the Rings seemed 12 hours long to me...

"Grand Prix" with James Garner was long at 176 minutes but also well worth it.

I just finally finished re-watching the latest release of The Hobbit on Blu Ray. Disk 3 is nothing but endless war and Orc Stomping thru the living room. Disk 1 and 2 are the best parts of this one.

"The English Patient" at 162 minutes not the longest for sure but I swear watching it took five years off of my life.:boring::boring::boring::boring::boring::boring::boring:

1900. A 1976 Italian film starring Robert De Niro. Around 5 and a half hours long. (My VHS release comes on 2,3 hour tapes).

Pearl Harbor was 2 tapes back in the day - that seemed to be one of the longest when I watched it but it only clocks in at 184 minutes. That was the first and only movie I watched that was on 2 tapes.

I remember watching some mini-series movies (usually from the Sci-Fi Channel) that were between 4 and 4 1/2 hours long (on 2 DVDs) all in one sitting. An example is The Triangle, which clocks in at 240 minutes.

Red Cliff, 288 minutes. Directed by John Woo, it was the most expensive Chinese film ever made.

Chopped and hacked to death for western release, the full version is available on Amazon.

Solaris, the original Russian version with....zzzzzzzz

sorry ,just thinking about it made me fall asleep

Well, being a serious Audrey fan, I've slogged thru..........
War and Peace, 3hrs, 28mins.
The Nuns Story 2hrs, 29mins.
My Fair Lady 2hrs, 50mins.

With Dr.Zhivago, you need to put your historical specs on and enjoy it as if it were a documentary. One of my favorite movies. A true epic.

The end credits of Superman. Never seem to end. just joking. Have seen It's a mad, mad, mad world. The great escape, Once upon a time in America. Waterworld , titanic, gone with the wind. the good the bad the ugly.
